It was formed on 1999, with a motto of “Assisting all families whose member suffer from Mental Disability, and improve the quality of their lives” The present strength of life members is 125, who are drawn from all walls of life united and care for this uncared people irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
Promoting monthly meetings where members share their concerns, experience, and coping methods. Year of starting: 1999 Objectives: - To share resources available with the families in taking care of the needs of the persons with mental disabilities.

| SHARE is a network of friends of persons with mental disabilities. It was formally launched in September 2004. | | | | | Year of Starting: 2004 Objective: To provide opportunity for the public to participate in the activities of the Trust. Registration Process: Anyone interested in enrolling as volunteer need to submit an application. They will be called for an input session that helps them to understand mental health and mental disorders, management of mental disorders followed by an exposure visit to the projects of the Trust to understand the multi various activities initiated to empower the persons with mental disabilities. They will be invited for a personal interview with the mental health professionals. Those who have gone through this process and cleared by the professionals are formally inducted as volunteers through a public ceremony. Activities support by volunteers Based on their talents, volunteers support either administration or programme activities. They support the following activities: - Programme Organizing
- Organizing Recreational Activities

- Documenting the Activities
- Fund Mobilization

| | | | | “Siblings Network” It is great gift to be a sibling as the relationship leave an indelible marks in ones own psyche. It is more pronounced in the case of a sibling with a person with disability. Objectives : - To facilitate the siblings to share and care.
- To explore the ways in which the siblings could become active partners in the process of Rehabilitation.
- To provide support to the siblings in the process of caregiving.
- To facilitate networking among siblings.

SYNERGY meets once in a month (last Sunday of every month). During the meeting, members are educated about the illness / disability. Siblings are given training in the areas of Interpersonal relations, anger management, coping with stress etc. It helps to develop their self esteem, understand their disabled sibling /special sibling. It could help to motivate to take part / to share the parents responsibility and to reduce the family burden. It gives a hope to parent that there is another child to take care of the special child after them.
During these meeting the siblings could share their feeling, which they could not share with normal child’s sibling. These meeting help them to take decisions for their siblings future. Exchange of ideas could make the siblings feel that they are not alone / or they are not the only person with a disabled siblings builds a unique band. | | | | Contact Person: Asst.Director - Programme |
