Aakaash Special School celebrated Children’s Day on November 14, 2019, at in MS Chellamuthu Gardens, a psycho social rehabilitation centre for persons with mental disabilities run by MS Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation (MSCT&RF) in Madurai. The children welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. M. Ganapathy, Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Madurai.
Mr. K. S. P. J. Babu, Director Programmes, MSCT&RF, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the support extended by State Bank of India, Madurai.
Mrs. T. Buvaneswari, Principal, Aakaash Special School, provided an overview of the children’s day celebration.
Aakaash students entertained the audience with their splendid cultural performances including group dance, fancy dress ramp walk and yoga.
The Chief Guest Mr. M. Ganapathy, delivered the special address and appreciated the performance of our special children. He appreciated the quality of services rendered by the trust. He also appreciated the staff members for their dedicated service to fulfil the needs of the special children. He encouraged parents to extend their full support to the staff team for the development of the children. The children’s day gift was distributed to all children and participants by the chief guests
Around 100 participants including the parents of Aakaash students, SHARE volunteers, members of SUBITCHAM-Family Fellowship, well-wishers, consultants of MSCT&RF, and mental health professionals from the trust participated.
The function was hosted vibrantly by Mr. Muniyasamy, Social Worker, MSCT&RF.
