VANNANGAL– 2018, 20th Annual Day celebration of our Special School AAKAASH, at IOBOA’s Jnana Deepam Building was held on 12.04.2018.
PMJF.Lion.T.Thanikodi, Next Century District Governor, Lions District 324B3 was the Chief Guest on the occasion.In his address, he appreciated the performance of our special children and the quality of service being rendered by the Trust and assured of his continual support by the Lions Club in the near future. Earlier Chief Guest with his team visited our Campus and keenly observed the entire activities of the Trust and interacted with the children. Ms.Meenakshi, Special Educator of Aakaash Special School, presented the Annual Report for the year 2017-2018 highlighting various special education activities, therapies given to the differently abled children and the field visits made during the year.
Cultural events such as dance, Karagam, Yoga were performed by the Aakaash special children and their impressive performance with perfection was highly appreciated by the Guest Team and the entire participants.
Lion. V. Chockalingam, Charter President, Lions Club of Madurai and Thiru. S. Veeraraghavan, Joint General Secretary (Retd.), Indian Overseas Bank Officers’ Association and Thiru. Ramanujam gave there felicitation speech. Industrialists Mr.Vivekanandan and Mr.Neethirajan graced the occasion.
Special Children and Special Educators were honoured by the dignitaries. Nearly 175 participants gathered and enjoyed this wonderful evening which includes our “SHARE Volunteers”, caregivers from “Subitcham”, Mental Health Professionals from various Projects of the Trust and persons from the medias.
Earlier Dr.C.Ramasubramanian, Founder & Consultant Psychiatrist MSCT&RF welcomed the gathering, and Mr Ramu, Sr.Consultant of MSCT&RF, proposed Vote of thanks.
