A One day” counselling skills lab” was successfully organized and conducted by M.S.Chellamuthu Institute of Mental Health and Rehabilitation, on Sunday 22nd March 2015 at the institute premises. The session was efficiently facilitated by Prof.Dr. G.Gurubharathy, Consultant and Mr.K.S.KirubeshKumar, Chief Training Officer. A dynamic group of 13 participants including practicing counsellors and students of counselling course attended the lab. The objective of the training program was to empower the counselling skills of participants. The sessions emphasized on the steps involved in the counseling process laterally with the counselling procedures and essential qualities of counselors. The participants made the session more appealing with their active interactions.
