A conjoin Family Session for the family members of the Persons with Mental Disabilities under our care at various Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centers was conducted on 12.06.2016 at Shristi, a Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre of the Trust jointly with Madurai District Legal Aid Services Authority to create awareness on free legal aid services available to them. 53 family members/ caregivers participated in the in the interactive session and got clarified their doubts on various issues including getting ID cards and issues on property & pension and guardian ship of the persons with mental illness.
The session was facilitated by Chief Guest Thiru T.Pannerselvam, Secretary/Sub Judge- District Legal Aid services Authority, Madurai. Shri.Velayutham, Advocate; Shri.Subburaman, Secretary- Subitcham; Prof. Padmini, Shri.Nobet, Cultural Psychologist and Dr.M.Kannan, Consultant also participated.
