Smt.R.Rajkumari, Executive Director, M.S.Chellamuthu Trust & Research Foundation, received the prestigious award “Woman of the Year” (2018-2019) from the Soroptimist International of Madurai on 25th September, 2018, in recognition of her unstinted service in the areas of mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation, counselling and awareness creation in working with the differently abled and for making holistic mental health care affordable and accessible to all.
Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement of service clubs of women in business and profession. There are over 90,000 members in 3000 clubs in 125 countries across the globe. Annually, “Woman of the Year” award is given in order to honour “extraordinary and inspirational“ women from a variety of fields
The President of Soroptimist International, Madurai, Mrs.Sabina Ali and the Secretary Dr.S.Lakshmi along with Smt.Lakshmi Murugesan and Dr.Haripriya presented the award at the function graced by luminary ladies of Soroptimist International.
