Mrs.Varalakshmi, VEMURE, Senior Social Development Specialist and Task Team Leader, World Bank visited Bodhi on 7th October, 2015 accompanied by Dr.C.Ramasubramanian, State Nodal Officer, Mental health and K.S.P.J Babu, Director-Programmes, M.S Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation and Mr.Victor- Disabled and Vulnerable Specialist, Pudhu vazhvu project, Chennai.
The guest visited our Dairy project and she enthusiastically interacted with the trainees, who had recently finished three months Skill development programme “Empowerment of Recovered Persons of Mental Illness through Dairy Farming activity in Madurai District”.
Following this, she visited the Telepsychiatry project (sponsored by Hewlett & Packard, HP, India) where Mrs. Varalakshmi and Dr.CRS interacted with the staff, patients and families of Thoothukudi Pudhu Vazhvu project through SKYPE.
