CPR was started in the year 1992 with a view to address the rehabilitation Needs of the persons with psychiatric disabilities in the mental health care.
The primary objective is to enhance the quality of life of the persons with Psychiatric disabilities through appropriate rehabilitation interventions.
A committee comprising of mental health professionals meet as and when admission and discharge is needed. The committee assesses clinical conditions and decides on admission and discharge
The clinical assessment is done by a team consisting of a clinical psychologist, the psychiatrist and the medical officer. The family assessment is done by a social worker. Based on the findings, the persons will be hospitalized for treatment. Once the person shows symptomatic improvement, he/she will be discharged for rehabilitation

Follow up is an important component in the rehabilitation programme of the Trust.
At the time of discharge, caregivers are given orientation about the need and importance of follow up and in consultation with them, a follow up schedule is drawn by the professionals.
Follow up remainders are sent before the scheduled date and if a person fails to come for follow up for two consecutive days, key worker makes a home visit to interact with family members and to provide necessary support that will ensure follow up.
