SHARE is a network of friends of Persons with Mental Disabilities. It was formally launched by the Madurai District Collector in 2004.

Goals

The goals of SHARE is to bring cheers in the lives of persons with mental disability by kind actions and love. SHARE helps the mentally disabled by associating with all the facilities provided by the Trust. SHARE also creates public awareness and increases the numerical strength of its members.

Volunteers’ profile

The team members are retired officials from Govt. and Private sectors, college students, house wives and associates of the mentally disabled.
They meet on 1st Saturday of every month and form a schedule of activities in consultation with the Trust, each member does yeomen services according to them time and capacity to enhance the lives of the mentally disabled. So far 30 volunteers are enrolled.

• Participation in all Trust progrmmes
• Contribute to the newsline
• Resource mobilization by sale of OT products
• 75 members enrolled as volunteers.
• Meets First Saturday of every month
• Promotes the products made by the persons with mental disabilities.
• Supports the staff and residents in the programme areas
